Many museums would like to make a larger segment of their collection accessible to the public, but do not have necessary exhibition space available. This is where visible storage can help. 

Pull-out art screens are no longer confined to inaccessible storage vaults but are used to put a large section of a collection on display in a secured, or even public space. Visible storage’s didactic function differs from normal collection storage. It gives visitors access to work processes and contextual contexts of collections and allows them to participate in the daily work of collecting, preserving, and researching art. 

One example of stabaArte Visible Storage can be found at the Artothek of the Bonner Kunstverein. Patrons of the art club can view the contemporary art on display and select paintings for a short-term loan. The Art Club thus creates an intensive exchange with those interested in art.
